RMS Olympic was a White Star Olympic class cruise ship and the sister ship of the RMS Titanic and RMS Britannic. It launched in 1910. Due to the 1912 Titanic shipwreck, Olympic was recalled its shipyard to build and improve the structure.
In World War I, the Olympic requisitioned by the Royal Navy as a troop transport, for equipment, and some artillery. It was also painted with camouflage. On May 12, 1918, while en-route for France in the English Channel Olympic sighted a surfaced German U-boat. The ship fired on the U-boat. The U-boat dived. The Olympic rammed the submarine and sunk it.
In 1935 she was withdrawn from service and scrapped.
