The Macchi Mc.200 Saetta was built by Aeronautica Macchi in Italy. The excellent maneuverability and the great general flying characteristics and exceptional stability in high-speed dives were the biggest advantage of this fighter. Despite the lack of power and firepower the MC.200 can still be regarded as a good fighter. The pilots of the Italian Air Force and their MC.200s were very active in all theaters of war by the Italian army and won their glory in many air combats. The Saetta showed no sign of weakness when facing the latest allied fighters.
