HMS Calcutta on July 9, 1918 at Vickers shipyard launched, modified for air defense cruiser in1939, deployed in the Mediterranean. June 25, 1940,HMS Calcutta in Bordeaux Coast joined the Canadian destroyer HMCS Fraser and HMCS Restigouche to Rescue 4000 the Germans besieged the French refugees.
