Not all big AC power is created equal. MRC’s AC train controls provide an instant, sustained (not short burst) response to your demands. It’s this sustained power you’ll find in our Pure Power unit with its nostalgic, retro design. Using a pure AC sine wave, it runs just about all of today’s AC locos, and is compatible with most AC sound systems too. Using the same sine wave technology, the Pure Power Dual features twin throttles, each with its own amp meter and voltmeter for convenient monitoring of your layout.

They will run M.T.H.® Proto Sounds 1 and 2, Lionel’s® Rail Sounds locomotives and their pre and post war engines as well as K-line and other brands of AC locomotives, including T.M.C.C.®. Our sensibly priced Tech 4 600 is designed to juice up your O gauge layout at a remarkable price point. May not work with certain sound systems.
